Today I am writing a very long explaination in the gap of time, and why several years has past. It has not because I have lost my love for Art or passion for it. I still did my Art Director position when I physically could do it.
I just needed for a period of time to heal, without revealing windows into that process through my Paintings. However, it will come out now. So don't expect pretty pictures, but some that just might upset you. Just realize I am fine, more than fine; actually quite happy now with a good life, good kind people around me, ones that respect who I am, that don't make me compromise my personality or self expression.
You might judge me differently when you read the post. Keep in mind I am not the same person I was. I have changed quite a bit. I am tougher, but fair. Honest and Direct, and not afraid to look a person in the eyes when I do it either.
I will post new art, and new photos when I have access to a scanner. Yesterday I was able to finally get this curved steel wall into my first floor flat. Everything in my life is changing, and it's awesome!

Art Director: Amsterdam Book Auction Poster Designed
This time it was exciting to do this graphic because we were experimenting
quite a bit on the computer. the results were beautiful. I will post a copy when
I can scan or take a photo of the actual poster.
The Graphics for the Amsterdam Poster Auction turned out amazing this time.
I will post the results when I can take photos of the images.
Posts will be more infrequent due to my computer crashing. I hope to get it set
up again soon.

Saatchi-Gallery Showdown Voting: when i come home
This is the last time to vote on this image:
The artworks below are registered for the SHOWDOWN running between 05-10-2009 and 12-10-2009
http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/showdown/index/233664
Artist Name:
Helyx Helyx
Year:
2009
Medium:
Digital Photography
Dimensions:
50 cm x 70 cm.
Artwork Description:
Nothing in this photo has been placed or retouched. I took the picture from a 3rd story window in the East side of Amsterdam- witnessed by one of my mates as I took it. I thought - this evoked many messages in one photo. To one, they would see death in the signpost that looks like a cross buried by the tree in the grass, laid down gently, with empty seats that could mean know one was their to acknowledge their passing, left to deal with the fear of death - alone. To another it would mean that when they come home they feel it is as peaceful as life can be, that the open bank(Couch) are inviting guests to enjoy the same natural feeling their home brings within this real life - NOW. There are other messages in this photo, but it is for you to figure out for your self and fill in - when i come home..

Art Direction: Personal Time Off
I am taking a bit of time off till the Neurologist has helped me resolve this pain I have right now with my legs and arms.
I will miss one event but be there to do the Poster Auction. I can't wait to see how the posters come out later in the week.
I just did my Eulogy for my best mate who died of cancer in April. It's taken me longer to deal with it since I made some personal mistakes at the end that I will just have to live with. His partner liked the photos I sent and they are now on the memorial website.
I am too emotionally drained - but finally feeling like I am trying to re-connect with this life as it is now - even with all of it's flaws.

Art: Work on Studio, Photography at Computer Lab + Cul de Sac I/II/III
Painted in the Art Lab today: I still feel troubled with personal growth issues and my Art. The III one was showing some more signs of hope in it. I found a good piece of steel - so I want to either mold it next session or pound/cut the metal into a form. Possibly get back to live sketching from a book - for hand = eye training - but even then I completely change it around which is what got me into trouble in many Art Class session because of some of the "surprising and unexpected results" that looked better than the dumb assignment.
That is why I just do an Art Lab - I can ask questions and just be left to do and ask if there are techniques since regular Art Classes you have to follow the assignment.
Picked up Cul de Sac I from the Art Lab. I am continuing through this till I get resolution in my Acrylic Painting on Paper: Cul de Sac II/III Painted Today
Cul de Sac I: Trashing
Painted 00.00.09
Cul de Sac II:Traces
Painted 29.09.09
Cul de Sac III: Unraveling
Painted 29.09.09
Computer lab went better than expected. I finally have my manual in English and enlarged (so I can read it better and write notes).
I put Knock'd = the Digital Photograph on the Saatchi-Gallery Site - It's on my Profile Page - 6 more images will go on when I get access to the computer lab again, then my Saatchi-Gallery site is back up and WITH NEW WORK!!!!!
I was able to finish the scan of my dead best mate and send it on to London, to his Partner, and is memorial site. I hope it will be put on the site when they update again. It's the best photo I had all the time from him - one from him in the London Eye, over London, looking liking he was really enjoying himself.
I also got all the images off my first take at the camera. One is now on the Saatchi Site - Finally! Another would have made it but still it's this 2 MG size - I sent the wrong image to my flat to finish the project. I will do it next computer lab where there are 5 Digital Photophograhy Images I quite like.
At this stage, I know I have a lot to learn but I am shooting the photos. I want to get good with Portrait Shots and Elemental Shots (where you don't disturb the environment and use the image you caught in the camera. That is my direction, with some modern abstracts thrown in.

Art Direction: Preparing Gallery for clients interested in the Fabrice Concubine Exhibition.
Spent most of the afternoon preparing the Art Gallery for clients interested in the Fabrice Concubine Exhibition. There is now a mini- Exhibit of his full work that was on display, so that
clients can choose now with the appointments they made to meet about the art.
We also had the Poster Auction being worked on at the moment. Very excitinging ones again - which I was surprised we were able to re-get some that are now in high demand.
Then the Book Fair at the Zoo is almost pre-pared.
Then then Book Auction is still taking in books for it's auction. All of this is happening this week. Many times I go in there and there are about 12 people there discussing or arranging.
It looks really great. Taking pics of it tomorrow for the Art Gallery. Auction House archive.

Saatchi-Gallery SHOWDON - when i come home is going to go for 4x round
when i come home...
is my most successful picture on the Showdown Competition.
It is now also now open for critiques from the public. I t will run for one last time
but the votes- ? I mean, I broke through the 1,600 barrier. It used to be the 1,000
vote barrier which - i am so fucking great, and one more Art Picture also surpassed the
1,000 voting record. When I come home kept surpassing it each time. Possibly it is getting recognized?
I don't know how this contest works at times. I was excited when it first began and I had 68 votes- I thought - wow, 68 people looked at my work and voted on it. Now I am thinking -
How it is - that over 1,600 people looked and voted. There is no possible way I could mount an exhibition and expect these kind of results of people showing up, or enjoying the work enough to express their feelings about it in a vote.
I am quite humbled by it today. Life beats down on me so hard at times and then I have moments where I see - it's worth the struggle - to keep fighting the pain, the emotional issues, the Autism, the HIV/AIDS - just keep pushing through it all no matter what.
My camera is packed with new images as well. I just have to get them downloaded.
I hope to do that tomorrow morning in my Computer Lab.
